THE RACQUETS
What is the difference between the PRO Range and the Davor original racquets?
The PRO Range – Icon, Elite, Legacy, Beacon – has been designed by Icíar Montes, World No.1 for 12 years and nine-time world champion, with three principles at its core: control, balance, and power. Each racquet in the range reflects a different playing style, shaped by her two decades of experience at the highest level of the game.
The Davor originals – Edge and Wizard – are built on the same manufacturing standards and share the same commitment to quality. They offer a strong entry point into the Davor range for players who want that foundation without the PRO Range specification.
Both ranges are built to last. The difference is in the detail and the playing profile each is designed for.
Which racquet is right for me?
Start with your game, not the racquet. The right question is not which racquet is best – it is which racquet suits how you play.
As a guide: if you win points by placing the ball with precision, the Icon. If you win points by finishing rallies aggressively, the Elite or Beacon. If you build from the back and finish at the net, the Legacy. If you are still working out your style, the Edge and Wizard are both versatile enough to meet you where you are.
Still unsure? The team at Stratford Padel Club can help you choose in person, and Davor racquets are available to try at London Sports Festival courts at Tower Hill Terrace.
Can I try a Davor racquet before buying?
Yes. Davor racquets are available to try at the London Sports Festival padel courts at Tower Hill Terrace and Hay’s Galleria in central London, all equipment is included with every court booking. The full range is also available to see and try in person at Stratford Padel Club.
How long has Davor been making racquets?
Davor was founded in Argentina in 1975 by Alojz Valencic. The brand launched its first padel racquet in 1988, making Davor one of the longest-established padel racquet manufacturers in the world – with fifty years of sporting heritage behind it.
Are Davor racquets suitable for beginners?
Yes. The PRO Range was designed for players of all abilities – the philosophy behind it is that every player, regardless of level, deserves to play with a great racquet.
